Supporting our Staff, Students and Visitors

Together we can beat this pandemic if everyone knows the signs of COVID -19, isolates themselves and gets tested

At JCE Positive, we, the management value the health and safety of all our staff, students, and visitors. We are committed to ensure a clean and safe environment to everyone so that they interact and function to their optimum potential.

Information for Staff

How will staff be notified with responses from management in regard to COVID-19 situation?

The management will provide information to the staff members of any evolving situation relating to the pandemic via email as well as reaching out to their personal phone. The staff is required to keep their contact details updated in the system.

How will management and staff maintain a clean and safe work environment?

The management will ensure that there are adequate sanitization resources available at the sanitization station placed at designated areas of the work area.

The members present at the premises are required to maintain a social distance of 1.5 meters as designated by the ACT Health department. Where possible, meetings and training are encouraged via online platforms. All members are required to practice good hygiene by washing hands as frequently as once in an hour.

The Staff is required to stay home if unwell and get tested if symptoms of COVID-19 are seen.

If any of the Staff members belong to an at-risk category and would like to explore alternative arrangements, they are encouraged to speak to their supervisor/manger in the first instance.

Staff entitlements and leave arrangements

The management will work with employees to assess whether or not the identified employee who is required to observe the exclusion period can work from home in any capacity.

Managers should make reasonable adjustments to the requirements of the staff member's position, having regard to operational requirements and the suitability of the work.

Employees will be offered the options below as deemed appropriate in situations requiring isolation.

- Carer’s leave
- Other leave provisions available as per the Enterprise Agreements
- Flexible work arrangements

Staff Mental Health and Wellbeing

It is extremely important that the employees of JCE Positive Outcomes stay physically as well as mentally healthy to perform to the best of their abilities.

Information for Students

How will students be notified with responses from management in regards to COVID-19 situation?

The management will have email communications with the students to update them about their upcoming one-on-one sessions, workshops and training sessions.

General Information for Visitors and Service Providers

Front Desk Reporting

The management expects the visitors and Service Providers to report to the front desk, wait for response and enter the details in the Visitor register. It is expected that the reported will maintain social distancing to keep the environment safe while approaching the front desk.

Sanitation and Resources

The management will ensure that sanitation resources are made available to all staff, students and visitors alike in the designated “Sanitation Stations”, kitchenette and restrooms.

The resources provided by the management are the following:

  • Hand sanitizers

  • Anti-Bacterial Wipes

  • Tissue boxes

  • Masks

  • Liquid Soaps

  • Methylated Spirits

The management will ensure that workplace as well as restrooms will be regularly cleaned to protect everyone using the facility.

Responding to a COVID‑19 infection:

  • If the infected person is at the premises, isolate him/her.

  • Notify the relevant authorities through the hotline number.

  • Move the person to Hospital.

  • Identify the people who have been in contact with the infected person, encouraging them to call the hotline number for instruction

  • Arrange the Cleaning of the Office
